Gasa English Medium School, is located in the remote rural village of Donsimagre, in the Chiading East Garo Hills region of Meghalaya. Situated amidst the tranquil beauty of the countryside, Gasa English Medium School stands as a beacon of education in this remote corner of Meghalaya. Nestled within the picturesque village of Donsimagre, in the Chiading East Garo Hills region, our school serves as a testament to the power of knowledge and learning.

Many children have to travel long distances to attend school, leading to a high dropout rate as they help their families with farming or chores. In 2011, the school was established by the villagers but had to stop due to a lack of resources. In 2016, the Snehadhan Charitable Trust took over and expanded the school to accommodate 70 students. They built semi-permanent buildings and added classes up to the 10th standard. In 2020, the school unveiled its first permanent building, symbolizing its commitment to long-term education. The school's journey reflects the power of community collaboration and belief in education's transformative power.
